We're looking for an experienced software integration engineer to lead Validation & Verification (V&V) efforts at Plus by conducting hands-on testing of our autonomous driving stack, with a particular focus on our planning stack or safety rated embedded MCU. In this role, you will also work together with engineering and operations teams to develop and implement closed-course vehicle testing programs. Your responsibilities will include creating and executing end-to-end software test plans for autonomous driving, supporting development on either the planning or MCU teams, and generating tooling and documentation to improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Lead planning and execution of closed-course autonomous vehicle system testing.
  • Create V&V plans and develop test matrix based on product requirements to thoroughly test autonomy software on-vehicle.
  • Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot software errors, including working with Linux, ROS, sensors, actuators, and various log data.
  • Work with engineers to determine how to test different parts of the autonomy stack and report back test failures to management.
  • Organize and execute field testing to test autonomy software on-vehicle in various environments including closed course.
  • Execute the test cases based on release milestones.
  • Support development of either the planning stack or the embedded safety MCU
  • Generate documentation and back-end tooling to improve operational efficiency

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics
  • 2+ years of experience creating and executing test plans for software and hardware systems.
  • 2+ years of experience working with robotics, automotive, or autonomous vehicles.
  • Experience debugging system behaviors in Linux, ROS, C++, and Python, and identifying software failures caused by hardware sensors.
  • Programming skills in Python, C++, bash
  • Willingness to travel to test sites near San Antonio, Texas and around the country.
