Job description

We are seeking a Sr Data Quality / ETL Testing Lead to support enterprise data initiatives within a highly regulated financial environment. This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data across large-scale data warehouse and cloud migration efforts. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in data validation, ETL testing, and regulatory reporting, with the ability to collaborate effectively across both business and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end data quality and ETL testing efforts across data warehouse and cloud migration initiatives
  • Design and execute data validation strategies, including source-to-target reconciliation, data integrity checks, and transformation validation
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and automation frameworks to validate large datasets and ETL pipelines
  • Support migration efforts involving Oracle, Snowflake, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
  • Partner with data engineers, BI teams, and business stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve data accuracy
  • Oversee the full testing lifecycle, including functional, system, regression, and UAT testing
  • Validate data used for financial systems and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Drive improvements in test automation and data quality processes using tools such as Python and SQL
  • Collaborate within Agile and Waterfall environments to deliver high-quality data solutions

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data quality, ETL testing, or data warehouse validation
  • Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Snowflake)
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and BI tools (Power BI, Cognos, SAP, etc.)
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Proficiency with test management tools (JIRA, ALM, TFS)
  • Experience with automation tools (Python, Selenium, Pytest) for data validation and testing
  • Understanding of regulatory reporting, financial systems, or banking data environments (banking experience is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
