At Slingshot Aerospace, we're on a mission to make space safer and more secure for everyone. Our work directly impacts global security, disaster response, climate monitoring, and the critical infrastructure that connects our world. We're a team of builders, thinkers, and problem-solvers who believe that the next generation of space operations will be powered by better data and smarter software. We move fast, we're not afraid to fail, and we believe the best ideas can come from anywhere-whether you're in engineering, sales, product, or operations. If you want to work on something that truly matters, with people who care deeply about the impact we're making and help shape the future of an industry that's just getting started, you're in the right place.

Seeking a Senior Architect with deep expertise in .NET, React, and Python to lead the design of secure, scalable, high-performance application and data platforms. This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility for defining architecture standards, mentoring engineering teams, and overseeing end-to-end platform design across backend, frontend, distributed systems, ETL pipelines, and AI-powered components. Candidates should bring strong architectural leadership across APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, RAG/LLM workflows, and enterprise-grade security practices.
Your Mission (Should you choose to accept it)

  • Define front-end architecture patterns and guide implementation of scalable React applications.Lead 3D visualization and UI architecture using Three.js for interactive, data-driven interfaces.
  • Lead database architecture for SQL Server: schema design, indexing strategies, performance optimization.
  • Architect caching, messaging, and high-speed data layers using Redis or similar in-memory systems.
  • Design and govern RAG architectures, vector search integrations, and retrieval-optimized AI solutions.
  • Define patterns and frameworks for Agentic AI workflows (LangChain, AutoGen, DSPy, etc.).
  • Establish Secure SDLC, architecture governance, code quality, and CI/CD standards.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, perform threat modeling, and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Guide resolution of complex production, system, and performance challenges across distributed systems.
  • Drive cloud-native architecture on AWS, including containerization, Kubernetes, networking, and security.
  • Partner with product, security, and engineering leadership to align architecture with business goals.

Pre-flight Checklist
  • Extensive architecture and engineering experience with .NET (C#/.NET Core).
  • Strong architectural understanding of React applications (state management, performance, security).
  • Deep experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong SQL Server background: schema design, query optimization, indexing, performance tuning.
  • Expertise with Redis or similar high-performance in-memory data systems.
  • Hands-on architectural experience with RAG frameworks, vector databases, and retrieval pipelines.
  • Experience with agent-driven AI architectures based on LangChain, AutoGen, DSPy, or similar.
  • Strong background with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud-native deployment models.
  • Ability to diagnose complex system issues across multiple layers of a distributed environment.
