About This Role  

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Manager, Field Effectiveness Insights and Field Reporting to empower our field teams across our portfolio with actionable insights and reporting dashboards to guide their daily activities. Reporting to the Senior Director, Field Effectiveness, you'll work with our sales teams, consulting and cross-functional partners to deliver best in class reporting insight, platforms and capabilities to help our field teams empower and educate caregivers to help patients with our medicines. The position demands technical expertise in data integration, advanced analytics, and field reporting to support our portfolio of field teams. 

This role is based at Axsome's HQ in New York City with an on-site requirement of at least three days per week. We are unable to consider candidates who are looking for fully remote roles. 

Job Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Create best in class reporting across all field teams (Auvelity, Digital, LTC, Symbravo, Sunosi, FRM, etc) 
  • Collaborate with field training and field managers to develop field training to ensure field understanding and use of reporting 
  • Keep up to date with the data sets, reporting platforms and capabilities in the marketplace to enable best in class capabilities 
  • Enable AI technologies within reporting capabilities for streamlined rep insights 
  • Provide expertise around available pharmaceutical data sets, reporting platforms and capabilities to develop best in class reporting and insights across all field teams and roles 
  • Develop and streamline current reporting to proactively monitor business performance, identify issues and opportunities, and recommend data-driven solutions 
  • Consult with cross-functional partners on the impact and usability of reports and resources intended for field sales use 
  • Collaborate with field leaders and field training department for all field training and usage of reporting 
  • Function as a trusted analytics partner to senior stakeholders across Commercial functions. 
  • Lead cross-functional working teams to drive SFE initiatives from concept through implementation. 
  • Manage vendor partners across various reporting workstreams 
  • Influence senior leaders through clear storytelling, structured recommendations, and data-driven foresight. 
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned. 

Requirements/ Qualifications 

  • BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field strongly preferred 
  • 6+ years of sales operations experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (which may include work as a consultant or supplier to the industry) 
  • Expert-level SQL skills for complex queries, joins, and data manipulation. Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) or R for data analysis and automation 

Experience, Knowledge and Skills 

  • Experience in Field Reporting design and platforms, including PowerBI, Tableau 
  • Experience in other sales operations processes (such as, Sales Force Design, Alignment, Targeting, Call Planning, and Incentive Compensation) preferred 
  • Advanced Excel capabilities including VBA/macros, Power Query, Power Pivot, and complex formula design 
  • Strong understanding of key pharmaceutical data sources (IQVIA, Symphony, claims data) and data structures to produce actionable insights 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights for all organizational levels 

Salary & Benefits  

The anticipated salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000. We encourage candidates of all levels to apply as there may be flexibility on final job title and responsibilities. The salary offer will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, internal equity and location. Axsome offers a competitive employment package that includes an annual bonus, significant equity and a generous benefits package.
