Job Summary

Are you passionate about creating innovative products that push the boundaries of technology? Moultrie is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead the development of cutting-edge electrical solutions for Moultrie Trail Cameras and Moultrie Feeder products. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our products by leveraging your extensive expertise to bring new concepts to life and ensure the continued success of our brands in the market. This role will be focused on optical/image systems and architectures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Innovate & Lead: Drive the development of innovative products that captivate consumers and push the market forward, while upholding Moultrie’s high standards for quality and performance.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Product Development Managers, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Sales to develop products that meet customer needs and exceed business goals.
  • Architect New Technologies: Lead the design and verification of high-performance remote camera wireless technologies including LTE and Bluetooth.
  • Product Development & Optimization: Enhance existing technologies, propose electrical solutions, and work on the re-purposing of camera applications to diversify Moultrie’s product line. Convert new concepts into manufacturable products through prototypes and proofs-of-concept (POCs).
  • Project Leadership: Manage the design process from initial concept through to production, including working with JDM partners, supervising remote teams, and ensuring product development aligns with release timelines.
  • Engineering Excellence: Develop product specifications, generate test protocols, and ensure that all designs meet cost, reliability, and manufacturability goals.
Job Requirements

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in electronics design, particularly in consumer products.
  • Knowledge in software/hardware integration and experience with RF systems.
  • Experience with electrical noise and its effects on wireless systems.
  • Ability to rapidly prototype and test designs.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting findings and documenting investigations.
Essential Job Function
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative product architectures for remote cameras.
  • Review, test, and verify antenna designs for LTE and Bluetooth.
  • Simulate antenna function in cellular game cameras, cellular feeder, and Bluetooth feeders.
  • Measure, diagnose, and provide resolutions for conducted and radiated emissions that affect wireless performance in cellular game cameras.
  • Design, prototype, and test new wireless subsystems.
  • Supervise design work across remote locations, ensuring architectural integrity.
  • Collaborate with external partners to complete designs and oversee final production.
