We are seeking a talented and dynamic Environmental Designer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will be the creative force executing visual designs for high-impact projects and major campaigns within brand style guides. As part of Aquent Studios, you will collaborate directly with a leading global organization in the aerospace and defense sector, creating compelling visuals that engage audiences from internal teams up to executive leadership. Role Impact & Significance
As an Environmental Designer, you will translate project vision and scope into stunning visual wayfinding, tradeshow displays, and more. You will play a vital role in upholding corporate identity standards as they evolve. Managing multiple high-priority initiatives, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver pristine assets, presentations, and environmental designs that move the business forward.
Key Responsibilities
  • Visual Design & Formatting: Design, lay out, and format graphic files to exact print and digital specifications while maintaining strict brand alignment and quality standards.
  • Client Collaboration: Partner directly with internal and external customers to align on project vision, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Multichannel Asset Creation: Develop custom graphics, illustrations, and diagrams with strong visual story flow.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects and timelines concurrently, take ownership of deliverables, and proactively communicate changes, scope shifts, or resource needs.
  • Brand Governance: Master multiple visual brands and style guides, applying an expert understanding of typography, layout, and content-to-graphics ratios.
  • Workflow Integration: Maintain meticulous project tracking and file protocol within project management software, ensuring seamless team collaboration.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience within an in-house creative department, design agency, or marketing communications environment.
  • Corporate Branding: Proven experience designing highly compelling visual communications within structured corporate identity guidelines.
  • Software Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat).
  • Presentation Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a heavy emphasis on building advanced PowerPoint presentations + Excel.
  • OS Environment: Comfort and proficiency working in a Windows/PC-based environment (not macOS).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or comparable professional work experience.
  • Portfolio: A strong online portfolio demonstrating a variety of deliverables created within a structured brand framework.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in presentation design
  • Experience utilizing Workfront or similar enterprise project management software.
