As of Sep 3, 2026, the average yearly pay for remote showing agent in Texas is $60,092.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $35,177.00 and $80,028.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What is a remote showing agent?

A Remote Showing Agent is a real estate professional who conducts property showings virtually or in person on behalf of a listing agent or real estate team. Their main role is to provide prospective buyers with guided tours of homes, either via video calls or by physically visiting the property and streaming the experience. This allows buyers to view homes from anywhere, and helps agents cover more showings without being present at each location. Remote Showing Agents typically coordinate schedules, answer basic property questions, and provide feedback to the listing agent. They play an important role in making the home buying process more convenient and efficient, especially for out-of-town clients or busy real estate teams.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote showing agent?

To thrive as a Remote Showing Agent, you need a real estate license, thorough knowledge of local property markets, and experience with virtual property tours. Familiarity with video conferencing tools, real estate CRM platforms, and electronic document management systems is typically required. Excellent communication, customer service orientation, and strong organizational skills help agents effectively guide clients and coordinate showings remotely. These competencies are crucial for providing seamless client experiences and efficiently managing real estate transactions from a distance.

What are some unique challenges faced by remote showing agents compared to traditional in-person agents?

Remote Showing Agents often face the challenge of building rapport and trust with clients without meeting them face-to-face. They must master virtual communication tools and provide clear, detailed property information to help clients make informed decisions remotely. Additionally, coordinating schedules and access with on-site contacts or using smart lock technology requires strong organizational skills. Success in this role relies on being proactive, tech-savvy, and maintaining excellent communication with both clients and local real estate teams.

Both roles require real estate licensing and industry knowledge, but their daily tasks and client interactions differ significantly.
