Job description

Ameritas is seeking a highly motivated Internal Wholesaler - Retirement Plans to drive sales growth and expand market penetration across our Retirement Plans business. In this role, you will partner closely with Financial Professionals and Regional Sales Vice Presidents to identify opportunities, cultivate financial professional relationships, advance sales conversations, and help secure new business. You will serve as a key contributor to territory sales success by proactively engaging financial professionals, uncovering opportunities, and delivering consultative sales support throughout the sales cycle.
• This position is remote (within the U.S.A.) and does not require regular in-office presence.
What you do:
  • Partner with Regional Sales Vice Presidents to execute territory business plans and achieve sales growth objectives.
  • Proactively identify, develop, and advance retirement plan sales opportunities within assigned territories.
  • Conduct outbound sales campaigns to Financial Professionals to generate appointments, uncover prospect opportunities, and drive pipeline development.
  • Influence advisors and plan consultants through consultative sales conversations focused on Ameritas retirement solutions and competitive advantages.
  • Assist in closing new business by managing sales processes, overcoming objections, and helping move opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales materials, proposals, benchmarking reports, and value-added presentations that position Ameritas as a preferred retirement plan provider.
  • Leverage CRM tools to track opportunities, manage prospect activity, and identify sales trends that drive territory growth.
  • Build expertise in retirement plan markets, industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor offerings to effectively position Ameritas solutions.
  • Collaborate across distribution channels to drive increased sales production and financial professional engagement.
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity, pipeline, and sales goals.

What you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of retirement plan sales, internal wholesaling, business development, or related financial services sales experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and drive sales results.
  • Experience supporting retirement plan advisors, consultants, or recordkeeping platforms preferred.
  • Life Insurance License and FINRA Series 6 or 7 and Series 63 licenses, or the ability to obtain within six months.
  • Strong prospecting, business development, and consultative selling skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with confidence conducting high-volume advisor outreach.
  • Competitive, goal-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving performance objectives.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize opportunities, and manage multiple sales initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify growth opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Experience using SalesForce preferred.
