Remote Series 99 information

What is a remote Series 99 professional?

A Remote Series 99 professional is an individual who has passed the FINRA Series 99 exam and is qualified to perform the functions of an Operations Professional for a broker-dealer, but works remotely rather than in a traditional office setting. The Series 99 license allows professionals to handle a variety of back-office operations, such as trade settlement, asset transfers, and recordkeeping. Working remotely, these professionals use secure technology to manage tasks, communicate with team members, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of financial firms, especially as remote work becomes more prevalent.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote Series 99 operations professional?

To excel as a Remote Series 99 Operations Professional, you need a solid understanding of broker-dealer operations, compliance principles, and must hold the FINRA Series 99 license. Familiarity with financial software systems, regulatory reporting tools, and secure communication platforms is typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and strong organizational skills are crucial soft skills for managing complex processes remotely. These competencies ensure accurate, compliant operations and effective teamwork in a regulated financial environment.

What are some common challenges faced by remote Series 99 operations professionals, and how can they be addressed?

Remote Series 99 Operations Professionals often encounter challenges such as maintaining effective communication with on-site teams and ensuring compliance with complex financial regulations from a distance. Overcoming these obstacles typically involves leveraging secure digital platforms for collaboration, maintaining regular check-ins with colleagues, and staying up-to-date on regulatory changes through continuous education. Building strong organizational habits and proactively seeking clarification on ambiguous processes can also help remote professionals excel in this role.

Job description

We are the movers of the world and the makers of the future. We get up every day, roll up our sleeves and build a better world -- together. At Ford, we're all a part of something bigger than ourselves. Are you ready to change the way the world moves?

We're looking for a Product Integration Lead for Foundational Platforms to lead the strategy, delivery, and integration of enterprise network and security platforms within the Enterprise Platform Engineering & Operations (EPEO) organization.

This role combines network services engineering, cybersecurity integration, and product portfolio management-with end-to-end accountability for delivering secure, scalable, and integrated network capabilities across the enterprise. You will drive platform transformation by aligning technical execution with business outcomes, while ensuring network and identity services are embedded into a modern, Zero Trust architecture.

You'll lead cross-functional teams and partner across EPEO, cybersecurity, and platform engineering to deliver high-impact initiatives across networking, security, and infrastructure domains.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related OR a combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering, cybersecurity, or platform engineering.
  • 3+ years leading technical teams or managing large-scale product portfolios.
  • Strong experience with enterprise networking (on-prem, cloud, hybrid models).
  • Experience integrating network services with security and identity platforms.
  • Deep understanding of modern architectures (Zero Trust, cloud networking, micro-segmentation).
  • Strong Agile delivery experience (Jira, Rally) across complex, multi-team environments.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or platform transformation initiatives.
  • Strong portfolio/program management experience across multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder...or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

  • Immediate medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage
  • Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, new parent ramp-up programs, subsidized back-up child care and more
  • Family building benefits including adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, fertility treatments, and more
  • Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
  • Tuition assistance
  • Established and active employee resource groups
  • Paid time off for individual and team community service
  • A generous schedule of paid holidays, including the week between Christmas and New Year's Day
  • Paid time off and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
