Description

Percheron is seeking a Senior Project Manager with deep experience leading FERC- Jurisdictional interstate natural gas pipeline projects - specifically over 100 miles. In this role you will help win work and successfully deliver complex pipeline programs from early routing and pre-filing through permitting strategy, engineering execution, and stakeholder coordination - ensuring outcomes align with scope, schedule, cost, contractual requirements and client satisfaction. is responsible for the complete management of very large, complex projects. The basic objective is to complete these projects to the clientโ€™s satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule, and contractual requirements to maximize financial objectives.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading strategy for FERC-jurisdictional pipeline development, aligning early project decisions with the certificate pathway and stakeholder expectations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs that support NEPA environmental review (EA/EIS pathways), including early identification of environmental/stakeholder risks and alternatives.
  • Maintain disciplined documentation and responsiveness to data requests, schedule milestones, and stakeholder communications consistent with major federal review expectations.
  • Ensure teams and partners understand that FERC certification review includes confirming compliance commitments to relevant safety standards.
  • Developing the precise scope of work.
  • Defining any changes between the original proposal and the final contractual agreement.
  • Responsible for negotiating with the client on all changes to the job in accordance with the company procedures.
  • Responsibility for the financial and technical success of projects.
  • Responsible for all phases of project planning and execution.
  • Serves as the unifying agent accomplishing direction, coordination, and control of the overall project in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
  • Manage and coordinate domestic, as well as international multiple projects, alliances, and joint ventures as required.
  • Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering license preferred.
  • 15 or more years of field and project planning experience.
  • Requires extensive FERC regulated pipeline project experience.
  • Proven Senior PM for interstate pipeline programs of 100+ miles.
  • Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization software.
  • The ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Excellent project management and supervision skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and direct project personnel.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and be available to project team members as needed.
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Spends up to 70% of the time in an office environment and up to 30% travel, may be remote but this will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
  • Is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
