We support behind-the-meter power projects, combined cycle facilities, and electrical systems supplying reliable generation to data centers and industrial customers. At this location, our team delivers full lifecycle engineering for projects ranging from 100 million to 5 billion dollars, including electrical system modeling, equipment specification, protection and controls engineering, and consulting support across multiple states. We serve major developers, independent power producers, and data center operators throughout the United States. We are currently working on two major design projects involving behind the meter and combined cycle power systems built to supply dedicated electricity to large data centers in Texas and Ohio. • Develop specifications and design packages for switchgear, transformers, MCCs, protective relays, grounding systems, and medium voltage distribution equipment
  • Support engineering reviews, design coordination, and occasional site visits for electrical inspections, construction walkdowns, equipment testing, and technical validation
  • Prepare engineering documentation including one line diagrams, wiring diagrams, equipment datasheets, relay settings, and electrical system reports for large scale power projects
  • Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and project engineering teams to ensure system compatibility, constructability, and performance across all phases of design and execution

What You Need for This Position

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering w/ 5+ years of experience in power generation, combined cycle, or utility scale electrical system design
  • 5+ years of direct experience inside a combined cycle or thermal power plant, including generator protection, excitation systems, MV plant distribution and plant side electrical engineering
  • Strong understanding of power distribution, protective relaying, switchgear, transformers, grounding, and medium voltage systems used in power generation
  • Experience with electrical codes and standards including NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and utility interconnection requirements
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, equipment specifications, relay settings, and plant system documentation for large scale power projects
  • Preferred experience with consulting engineering, EPC environments, or field engineering supporting power generation facilities
