Job description

Position Summary

The Business Process Analyst, Operations is responsible for improving the way IGF operates across its distribution centers and supply chain. This role partners with the Operations leadership team to evaluate current workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, document standardized processes, and implement sustainable solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and operational consistency.

This position serves as an internal consultant, balancing time between observing operations, analyzing data and outcomes, facilitating process improvements, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste
  • Lead process improvement initiatives from concept through implementation
  • Facilitate cross functional collaboration to redesign business processes
  • Measure results and recommend additional improvements

SOP Governance

  • Develop and maintain SOPs 
  • Create process maps, workflows, and supporting documentation
  • Ensure operational documentation remains current and reflects best practices 
  • Conduct routine internal audits to validate compliance with established standards

Operational Partnership

Support initiatives across:

  • Operations (headquarters and distribution centers) 
  • Receiving 
  • Shipping 
  • Deliveries
  • Inventory Management 
  • Logistics 
  • Health and Food Safety 
  • Facilities 

Data and Analysis

  • Analyze operational KPIs and trends
  • Develop recommendations supported by data
  • Partner with IT on reporting and system enhancements
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements 

Project Management

  • Manage multiple improvement initiatives simultaneously
  • Coordinate stakeholders across departments
  • Develop implementation plans and monitor progress
  • Report project status 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, industrial engineering, operations management, or related field
  • Minimum five years of experience in operations, distribution, logistics, process improvement, or continuous improvement
  • Experience documenting business processes and SOPs 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP and WMS platforms
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience within food distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain operations

Targeted Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
