Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer Test Automation

Location: Memphis, TN preferred; remote candidates may be considered if qualified local candidates are not identified.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer Test Automation to provide hands-on quality engineering and end-to-end quality ownership across multiple enterprise applications and integrations.

This role is heavily focused on test automation and will work across transaction-driven applications spanning web interfaces, APIs, backend processes, and databases. The Quality Engineer will develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, expand regression coverage, integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and help improve overall testing practices and release confidence.

The environment includes a combination of existing automation and manual test coverage, with ongoing efforts to modernize testing frameworks and establish more scalable quality engineering practices. This position requires someone who can work independently, identify quality risks and testing gaps, and balance immediate testing needs with longer-term automation improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end quality across multiple enterprise applications, integrations, and complex business workflows.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks.

  • Expand automated regression coverage across critical application workflows.

  • Perform and support regression, smoke, integration, end-to-end, and release testing.

  • Test across multiple application layers, including web interfaces, APIs, backend processes, and databases.

  • Validate complex transaction-driven workflows involving purchases, payments, data reconciliation, and reporting.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support earlier defect detection and more reliable releases.

  • Create and maintain test cases, automation assets, and quality documentation.

  • Partner with software engineers, product owners, analysts, and other quality engineers to identify risks and improve application quality.

  • Support release readiness and production validation activities.

  • Identify gaps in existing testing practices and recommend improvements to automation, tooling, coverage, and testing processes.

  • Help ensure testing activities are clearly defined, trackable, and incorporated into Agile sprint delivery.

  • Drive continuous improvement toward scalable, maintainable automation and quality engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing, enhancing, and maintaining automated test frameworks.

  • Strong experience with C#/.NET-based test automation.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium.

  • Experience testing web applications, APIs, databases, and end-to-end workflows.

  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar tools.

  • Strong experience with SQL and SQL Server for testing and data validation.

  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience supporting and testing enterprise applications involving multiple systems and integrations.

  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams.

  • Ability to independently own quality across multiple applications and workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing transaction-heavy applications involving purchases, payments, or similar business-critical workflows.

  • Experience validating complex workflows spanning multiple integrated systems.

  • Experience working in environments that combine existing automation with manual test coverage.

  • Experience modernizing or improving existing test automation frameworks and quality practices.

  • Experience defining test approaches, assessing quality risks, and supporting release-readiness decisions.

  • Experience helping teams reduce manual testing through effective automation.

How to Apply

Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit a resume for confidential consideration. Candidates should clearly highlight their hands-on test automation experience, including automation framework development, C#/.NET, Selenium, API testing, SQL/SQL Server, CI/CD integration, and experience testing complex enterprise applications.
