Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively communicate and serve as a key contact for families, establishing an authentic relationship that fosters trust and support.
  • Facilitate therapeutic interventions including individual, family, and group therapy sessions, adhering to our established clinical models and methodologies, such as Attachment-Based Family Therapy.
  • Conduct Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups to educate and empower family members involved in the treatment process.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all therapeutic interactions, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, following organizational standards.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR), along with Microsoft Word and Outlook, to enter and manage data regarding client sessions accurately.
  • Participate in regular treatment team meetings and clinical supervision sessions, contributing insights and collaboration to enhance patient care.
  • Attend and represent Sunrise Counseling Services at relevant conferences, trainings, and meetings as needed, showcasing our commitment to excellence and professional development.
  • Manage your schedule independently to meet the therapeutic goals of your clients efficaciously and effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our services primarily target adolescents and young adults grappling with various challenges, including mental health issues, substance abuse, eating disorders, and trauma. Understanding the complex dynamics of family relationships is crucial, as we work collaboratively with clients and their families to navigate these challenges together.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field, or current enrollment in a Doctorate program from an accredited or state-approved institution.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or a board-registered therapist in the state of Georgia.
