In your role as a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate client needs and develop personalized treatment plans that align with established best practices and evidence-based interventions.
• Provide psychotherapy using a variety of modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailored to each client's unique circumstances and preferences.
• Document clinical notes and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to coordinate care that addresses both psychological and physical aspects of health.
• Participate in regular peer reviews and case consultations to foster professional growth and share insights on effective treatment methods.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health concerns, treatment options, and community resources to promote informed decision-making and enhance their support systems.
• Stay informed about the latest research and trends in mental health to integrate new findings into your clinical practice.

The clients you will work with at Safe Space Behavioral Health encompass a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health conditions. You will have the opportunity to build therapeutic relationships with patients of various ages, cultural backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses, utilizing evidence-based practices that resonate with their individual experiences and treatment goals.

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.
• At least 2 years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting, providing psychotherapy services to clients.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including solution-focused and evidence-based interventions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on enhancing patient outcomes through innovative approaches.
• A commitment to teamwork and collaborative practices.

While not required, preference will be given to candidates who possess experience in teletherapy or remote counseling practices, as well as those with specialized training in trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based interventions, or group therapy facilitation.
