  • Regularly review budgets at the portfolio level and provide detailed cost reports to project stakeholders.

Cost Reduction:

  • Lead initiatives to identify and implement cost-saving measures across all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams with expertise in the various categories of the STACK BOD to develop ideas for cost savings.
  • Lead R&D efforts for a cost- and schedule-first approach to product development
  • Manage a group of stakeholders to drive decision making on cost savings ideas.

  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of cost reduction efforts, adjusting strategies as needed.

Cost Certainty:

  • Develop and implement cost certainty strategies to mitigate risks related to budget overruns and unforeseen expenses.
  • Establish and maintain contingency plans to address potential cost uncertainties.
  • Work closely with general contractors (GCs) to develop and implement strategies for locking in costs earlier in the development process with less information.

Competencies

  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong analytical, creative thinking, and communications skills.
  • Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with internal staff, and external consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite, Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff and industry standard estimating and scheduling softwares.

THE DETAILS:

  • Must pass comprehensive background screening

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in construction, business or technical discipline OR commensurate work experience
  • 10+ years of prior experience in Preconstruction
  • Proven experience in cost management, preconstruction, or a related role within the construction or infrastructure industry.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities

Compensation Range:

$182,000.00 - $204,000.00

THIS MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:

  • You are a strong communicator, you are persuasive and clear, blending analytics with experience in decision-making.

  • You are a team builder. You take the time to understand and develop the strengths of your resources while formulating long-term plans for the growth and success of the team.

  • You are naturally curious and driven toward continual improvement. While you celebrate your successes, you take time to review and analyze campaigns for future learning.

WHY STACK?

  • We offer a competitive compensation package with strong benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K program, flexible spending accounts - even a cell phone subsidy.

  • We foster a culture of appreciation, including peer-to-peer recognition and rewards programs.

  • Fun is part of our DNA, with events, game nights, happy hours, and barbecues.

  • We're growing - this is a great time to join and make an impact!
