Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with clients, facilitating an open and supportive therapeutic environment.
  • Diagnose mental health disorders and develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments and client goals.
  • Conduct regular therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families, offering evidence-based interventions tailored to their unique situations.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress over time, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Provide group therapy sessions when relevant, fostering peer support and shared healing experiences among clients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, making referrals to specialists as needed.
  • Lead community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about mental health, emphasizing the importance of therapy and counseling services.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals, couples, and families seeking support for a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and more. You will work closely with diverse populations, taking cultural and socioeconomic factors into account, and customizing therapy approaches to resonate with each client's background and experiences.

Qualifications
  • A valid license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Connecticut.
  • A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in either clinical practice or specialized training that aligns with mental health therapy, ideally with a focus on addiction and co-occurring disorders.
  • Current knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices for a variety of mental health challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and motivate clients through effective communication.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a community health clinic or similar healthcare environment, particularly in a remote capacity.
  • Training in specialized therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and best practices for conducting therapy sessions online.
Compensation and Benefits
