Summary:
The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist 1 manages the day to day servicing lifecycle for all performing real estate loans to include mortgages, personal credit lines, and installment loans secured by real estate, and is a a fast paced, highly regulated environment. This position is responsible for the daily maintenance on real estate loans, involving initial boarding of loans to the MSP servicing system through the disposition of loans through the lien release process, and also responsible for monthly reconciliation and remittance of funds.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze collateral documentation and loan information in the bank's servicing system (Hogan) and as needed, update collateral records in loan servicing system
  • Communication with customers via phone and email
  • Follow up with business partners regarding missing or insufficient documents.
  • Research and verify lien position on UCCs and titles for loans secured by RVs, vehicles and boats and also analyze loan status to determine the appropriate resolution
  • Prepare customer communication.
  • Manage workflow to ensure Service Level Agreements are met or exceeded.
  • Processing of work - mail sorting, check processing, data entry, document retrieval and review, account research.
  • Responds to both internal and external customer requests through both written and verbal communication.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining department procedures.
  • Positions in this job family must adhere to written policies and procedures and will be regularly audited to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years' experience in a customer service related position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access -- Ability to create and edit basic Word and Excel documents.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and problem solving ability
  • Prior customer service experience is helpful
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Demonstrated dependability (attendance)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment adhering to established SLA targets and quality requirements
