Bamboo Insurance is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) to own the end to end lifecycle of adding New Products and Programs to our Guidewire Ecosystem from planning and forecasting through execution, release management and continuous improvement.

This individual will act as scrum master for the new programs development track as well as be a key contributor to developing processes and implementing efficiencies that enable the scrum team to scale quickly, while remaining flexible.

Will be responsible for working with the business to prioritize the backlog, set sprint goals and deliver them on a regular release schedule.

This individual must possess a strong understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, Digital and Integration applications and how those apps interact with cross functional business and technical teams.

This individual will have the opportunity to work with multiple areas of the business in addition to managing their scrum team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Planning and managing a large scrum team that focuses on New States, Products and Programs for Bamboo's Guidewire ecosystem.
  • Plan and coordinate major, minor, patch, and hotfix releases for scrum team.
  • Build and maintain release artifacts including deployment checklists, and release notes in Confluence as well as release management in Jira.
  • Ensure backlogs (epics, defects, production issues) are well refined, estimated, and aligned to clear sprint goals.
  • Collaborating with business and software development teams.
  • Reporting scrum team development progress to program stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that products are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Documenting Processes and Reporting Team Status.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Hyper organized and able to prioritize multiple competing tasks.
  • Must be able to proactively identify risks that relate to upcoming work and impacts on cross functional teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a remote team.
  • Must be extremely comfortable with the Atlassian Ecosystem; Jira, Confluence and Jira Plans. This is where the TPMs spend much of their time.

Required Education and Experience:

  • At least four years acting as a Technical Project Manager, including experience acting as scrum master for SDLC teams in the Insurance space.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Guidewire application ecosystem working with cross functional Guidewire Teams.
  • Advanced Experience using Jira and Confluence to manage team workloads.

Preferred Experience:

  • Property and Casualty Insurance domain knowledge.
  • Experience leading a scrum team to deliver new products, programs and/or states.
  • Guidewire InsuranceSuite application scrum master experience.
  • Technology Solution Project Implementation Experience.
  • Scrum Master Certification.
  • PMP Certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary: Starting at $140,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience and abilities will be taken into consideration for final offer.
