Scrum Master / Jira & Confluence Administrator

MaestroX

Austin, TX • Remote

$90K - $102K/yr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO

This job post has expired today. Applications are no longer accepted.

Job description

MaestroX builds software and AI-powered automation for the title and real

estate industry. Our platforms process title orders, power vendor

marketplaces, and run AI extraction pipelines in production. We are

rebuilding our delivery process from the ground up and hiring the person

who will own it.

This is not a facilitation-only Scrum Master seat. You will run agile

delivery for two development pods (product engineering and AI delivery)

and serve as hands-on administrator of our Atlassian Cloud stack. You

will design the workflows, wire Jira to GitHub so ticket states reflect

reality instead of clicks, build the Confluence knowledge base, and

publish the metrics leadership actually uses. If you have wanted to build

a delivery system rather than inherit one, this is that role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Run two-week sprints on a shared cadence across two pods: planning,

review, retro, and async-first standups in Microsoft Teams

- Own Atlassian administration end to end: Jira workflow schemes,

post-functions, automation rules, required fields, permissions, boards,

dashboards, plus Confluence spaces, templates, and permissions

- Stand up and maintain the engineering knowledge base in Confluence:

runbooks, sprint documentation, decision logs, release notes

- Automate Jira transitions from GitHub events (branch created, PR

opened, PR merged) and QA verdicts so status is generated, not

self-reported

- Produce a weekly delivery metrics pack: throughput, cycle time,

failed-QA rate, landing rate, WIP aging, estimate accuracy

- Enforce delivery standards: definition of ready and done, WIP limits,

branch naming and branch-age policy, backlog hygiene

- Coordinate tag-based releases through staging, UAT, and production

- Operate our AI-assisted process layer: triage automated PR-review agent

findings, reconcile tickets against commits, keep traceability intact

- Coordinate intake and delivery across internal staff and vendor teams

WHAT YOU BRING

- 3+ years as a Scrum Master or agile delivery lead for software teams

- 2+ years hands-on Atlassian Cloud administration across both Jira

(workflow schemes, automation, JQL, post-functions) and Confluence

(space architecture, permissions, integration). This combination is

required, not preferred

- Experience integrating Jira with GitHub for event-driven workflow

automation

- Track record building and defending delivery dashboards from raw

Jira and GitHub data

- Full command of SDLC and CI/CD practice: branch protection, PR gates,

required checks, environment promotion, release versioning. Enough

technical fluency to read a PR, understand CI status, and hold a

branching standard

- Experience with distributed, async-first teams and vendor coordination

NICE TO HAVE

- CSM or PSM certification, Atlassian certification (ACP-120)

- Experience installing process where none existed, not just operating a

mature one

- Exposure to AI-assisted development tooling

- Title, mortgage, real estate, or fintech domain experience

LOGISTICS

- Full-time, fully remote within the United States

- Core-hours overlap with US Eastern Time required

- $90,000 - $102,000 per year depending on experience

- Reports into the technology leadership team
