Job description

Position Overview:


The primary duties of this position include successful leadership of multiple projects and key client relationships for projects in our Energy, Transmission and Distribution group


The Project Manager will manage, direct and take ownership of projects (i.e. performance, safety, quality, schedule, and budget) and project management team (i.e. Project Manager, Project Engineer, APM, Superintendent and all field personnel).

This person will be responsible for contract administration, project planning, labor and equipment and resource management. Project Managers will oversee project management team to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The Project Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional and satisfactory relationship with the Owners, subcontractors, regulatory agencies and other project stakeholders.

Will require 10 -15% travel to project site for reporting on project milestones, performance, safety, quality, and budget.


Specific Responsibilities:


Manage project successfully from initiation, through estimate, pre-construction, execution, commissioning and closeout.

Ensure project contractual agreements are met and project is performed safely within agreed budget and timeframe.

Manage project financial health, approve invoicing and billings, track variance, productivity and report financial performance to executive leadership.

Ensure safety, quality and productivity is maintained.

Lead negotiate contracts with vendors and approvals when required.

Ensure that contracts are fit for purpose, cost effective and incorporate appropriate service level agreements.

Assist project team with establishment of project execution plan and assist project management team with scheduling and coordination for each project.

Work closely with construction management and all field related personnel.

Negotiate change orders or commercial agreements that deviate from contact.

Source and qualify subcontractors.

Identify project risk or potential impacts. Develop recovery plan to mitigate.

Assist project team with client coordination, strategic planning, master scope management, budget finances, subcontracting, project staffing, environmental compliance, facility support and schedule attainment.

Maintain ongoing client satisfaction and identify new business opportunities.

Work collaboratively with the project controls team to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan.

Assist with internal project financials', staffing, legal coordination, risk management and change management.


Qualifications:


BS with12 years of prior relevant experience or MS with 8 - 10 years of prior relevant experience preferred.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification preferred.

Experience with Government, Technical and/or Infrastructural construction project management experience preferred.

Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work remote.

Valid driver's license required.
