Senior Substation Design Engineer (Electrical)
Area: Fully Remote
Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary:

  • Lead and perform physical design of high-voltage substations (69 kV – 500 kV) in transmission and distribution networks
  • Create layout drawings, general arrangements, grounding plans, conduit/cable schedules, and equipment drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Bentley Substation
  • Partner with P&C and civil/structural teams to ensure constructible designs and schedule adherence
  • Conduct grounding analysis, bus design, equipment configuration, and quality checks
  • Review design packages for compliance with NESC, IEEE, and client standards
  • Mentor early-career engineers and support technical growth across the team
  • Support proposal efforts, project scoping, schedule, and cost estimating for new projects
