A Better Self Behavioral and Psychological Center is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our remote team. This full-time position focuses on delivering exceptional mental health care to individuals coping with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and a person-centered approach.

This role is designed for remote work, allowing for flexibility and a better work-life balance. As a member of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with fellow professionals through virtual meetings and digital communication platforms. Our telehealth facility enables therapists to reach clients effectively and deliver personalized care through secure and reliable technology, enhancing treatment delivery and client engagement.

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, you will take on various responsibilities that include:

• Providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions that focus on therapeutic techniques tailored to the needs of each client.
• Conducting thorough initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate mental health and substance use treatment needs.
• Creating comprehensive, individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families that outline specific goals and therapeutic interventions.
• Regularly reviewing and updating treatment plans based on client progress and feedback.
• Participating in regular multidisciplinary team meetings to share insights and collaborate on client care, contributing to a holistic treatment approach.
• Documenting all therapy sessions, assessments, and progress in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals facing diverse challenges related to substance abuse and co-occurring mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and various personality disorders. Our clients often come from varied backgrounds and experiences, making it essential to provide culturally competent care that respects their unique perspectives and promotes healing.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
• A current, valid license in good standing from the Board of Behavioral Science as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist (PsyD).
• A strong commitment to ethical practice, evidenced by holding a license that is not under suspension or probation.
• Mandatory pre-employment requirements including tuberculosis screening (annually), background checks, drug screening, and reference checks are crucial to ensure client safety and compliance with state regulations.

While not required, preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Telehealth service delivery and familiarity with digital therapy platforms.
• Working with specific populations, including individuals with a history of trauma, addiction, and complex family dynamics.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
