Kindred Connections Society is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in Merced, California. Work Environment

This position is set within a community health clinic that prioritizes accessible mental health services. You’ll have the flexibility of working remotely, allowing you to manage your schedule while still engaging with a supportive team of mental health professionals. Our practice operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured work-life balance that is paramount in the field of mental health care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions in compliance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) standards.
  • Perform thorough clinical assessments to accurately diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain precise clinical documentation and electronic health records (EHR) in line with HIPAA regulations and ethical practices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to approach complex cases and provide holistic care.
  • Participate in regular supervision, peer support groups, and case consultations to ensure continuous professional growth and adherence to best practices.
  • Uphold client confidentiality and maintain ethical and legal standards throughout the therapeutic process.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, each facing unique challenges. You will have the chance to address various issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and life transitions, helping to guide them toward healing and improved mental health.

Qualifications
  • Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license in California.
  • A master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience is required; newly licensed therapists are encouraged to apply depending on their match with our team's needs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a variety of populations, including underrepresented communities, which enhances your ability to deliver effective care.

Compensation and Benefits
