Position Title Senior Assistant Dean of Admissions - Western Regional Representative Location Appleton Department Admissions Position Type Staff Position Description & Qualifications
Reports To: Senior Associate Dean of Admissions
Location: Remote, residing in the western United States
Primary Objective:
This role is instrumental in driving Lawrence University's growth within the western United States, a region with significant market potential. The Western Regional Representative will will act as the primary liaison between Lawrence University and prospective students, driving recruitment, managing application evaluations, and guiding applicants through enrollment. Key duties include traveling for school visits, reviewing applications and creating relationships with stakeholders including, high school counselors, independent counselors, professional organizations to raise Lawrence university 'profile to meet institutional enrollment goals.Success will be measured by achieving targeted increases in applications, admits, and deposits.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Expansion:Establish and grow a comprehensive admissions pipeline within the assigned territory, focusing on high-potential schools and communities.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with high school counselors, independent advisors, alumni, and key influencers to boost recruitment outcomes.
  • Outreach & Recruitment: Plan and execute visits to high schools, attend college fairs, and participate in other recruitment opportunities to maximize the university's regional impact. 
  • Prospective Student Engagement: Advise students and families on the benefits of a Lawrence education, guiding them through the admissions process with a focus on conversion.
  • Event Management: Organize and lead impactful recruitment events that align with institutional goals and engage prospective students effectively.
  • Application Assessment: Evaluate applications with a keen eye for alignment with Lawrence's academic and community standards, providing data-informed recommendations.
  • Public Presentations: Deliver compelling, tailored presentations that communicate Lawrence's unique value to diverse audiences. Ability to articulate the benefits of a liberal arts education demonstrate the value of the Lawrence University experience to multiple audiences.
  • Alumni and Volunteer Collaboration: Activate and engage alumni networks to amplify recruitment efforts in the region.
  • Team Engagement: Participate in admissions projects and workgroups, contributing ideas to enhance recruitment strategies and meet institutional objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years in admissions, sales, or a related field with proven success in achieving targets.
  • Skills: Outstanding organizational, communication, and public speaking skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver measurable results.
  • Technology:Proficiency in CRM systems and data analytics tools; experience with Slate preferred.
  • Language Skills: Spanish fluency is a strong advantage.
