Position Summary
908 Devices is seeking a mid-level Salesforce Administrator with specialized expertise in Salesforce Experience Cloud to build, launch, and own our partner portal from the ground up. This is a high-impact, hands-on role that combines platform development with day-to-day partner management. You will be the primary owner of the partner portal-designing the user experience, managing external partner access, and supporting our channel partners throughout their onboarding and continued use of the portal.
Internally, you will work closely with the Sr. Director International Channel Management and the head of Commercial Sales to align the portal capabilities with our go-to-market strategy. This role requires someone equally comfortable configuring Salesforce and communicating directly with external partners-a blend of technical depth and partner-facing professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner Portal Build & Administration
    • Architect, build, and launch the 908 Devices Salesforce Experience Cloud partner portal, establishing the foundation for our partner ecosystem.
    • Design and maintain portal pages, layouts, navigation, and branding using Experience Builder, ensuring an intuitive and professional user experience.
    • Configure and manage partner user profiles, roles, permission sets, sharing rules, and access controls in alignment with Salesforce security best practices.
    • Build and maintain Flows, approval processes, and automation to streamline partner workflows within the portal.
    • Work with internal stakeholders to publish portal content including resources and sales enablement materials accessible to channel partners.
    • Conduct proactive system maintenance including sandbox management, health checks, security reviews, and Salesforce release readiness assessments.
  • Partner Onboarding & External User Support
    • In partnership with the Channel Management team, coordinate and support end-to-end partner onboarding process: provisioning new partner accounts and users, delivering orientation and training, and driving adoption of portal features.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for external channel partners navigating the portal, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
    • Create and maintain partner-facing training materials, user guides, and FAQs to support self-service adoption.
    • Monitor partner engagement and portal adoption metrics; identify and act on opportunities to improve the partner experience.
    • Manage partner user lifecycle-including deactivations, role changes, license updates, and access updates-in response to partner relationship changes.
  • Internal Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Partner closely with the Channel management team to translate partner program requirements into portal features and workflows.
    • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to surface partner deal registration, lead sharing, and pipeline visibility within the portal.
    • Gather and translate business requirements from stakeholders into scalable, best-practice Salesforce configurations.
    • Communicate platform changes, new features, and maintenance windows to internal teams and external partners.
    • Maintain a portal roadmap aligned with the partner program strategy, prioritizing enhancements based on partner feedback and business needs.
  • Core Salesforce Administration
    • Perform all aspects of Salesforce user and license management, including new user setup, role hierarchy, and permission management.
    • Manage and improve data quality within the portal and CRM through validation rules, deduplication, and data governance practices.
    • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to surface partner activity, onboarding status, and portal engagement metrics.
    • Work with integrated applications including MuleSoft, Pardot, and other connected tools in the 908 Devices technology stack.
    • Maintain technical documentation of configurations, processes, and customizations

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience.
  • Proven experience designing, building, or managing a Salesforce Experience Cloud portal (partner portal, customer community, or similar).
  • Strong command of Experience Builder, user management, sharing and visibility settings, and Salesforce Flow.
