Remote Rwe information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Real-World Evidence (RWE) Analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Real-World Evidence (RWE) Analyst, you need strong analytical skills, expertise in epidemiology or biostatistics, and typically an advanced degree in a health-related field. Familiarity with statistical software (such as SAS, R, or Python), experience in data visualization tools, and knowledge of healthcare databases are commonly required. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and self-motivation are crucial soft skills for effectively collaborating with remote teams and stakeholders. These skills ensure high-quality, credible real-world data analysis that informs healthcare decisions and supports evidence-based practice.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote Real-World Evidence (RWE) professionals, and how can they be addressed?

Remote RWE professionals often face challenges such as coordinating with cross-functional teams across different time zones, ensuring secure and compliant data sharing, and maintaining clear communication in virtual settings. To address these issues, it's helpful to establish regular check-ins, utilize collaborative project management tools, and stay up to date with data privacy regulations. Building strong digital communication skills and participating in virtual team-building activities can also enhance collaboration and productivity in a remote work environment.

What are Remote RWE jobs?

Remote RWE (Real World Evidence) jobs involve analyzing and interpreting healthcare data collected outside of traditional clinical trials, such as electronic health records, insurance claims, and patient registries, while working remotely. Professionals in this field help pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies make informed decisions about the safety and effectiveness of medical treatments in real-world settings. Remote RWE roles typically require expertise in data analysis, epidemiology, and biostatistics, and often involve collaborating with cross-functional teams using virtual communication tools.

Job description

Beacon Biosignals is on a mission to revolutionize precision medicine for the brain. We are the leading at-home EEG platform supporting clinical development of novel therapeutics for neurological, psychiatric, and sleep disorders. Our FDA 510(k)-cleared Dreem EEG headband and AI algorithms enable quantitative biomarker discovery and implementation. Beacon's Clinico-EEG database contains EEG data from nearly 100,000 patients, and our cloud-native analytics platform powers large-scale RWD/RWE retrospective and predictive studies. Beacon Biosignals is changing the way that patients are treated for any disorder that affects brain physiology.

Beacon Biosignals is seeking a driven, strategic, scientifically-oriented Business Development Manager to identify and build our revenue-generating partnerships with large pharma, biotech, and medical technology target customers. This role will involve both strategic and tactical work to support Beacon's growth across all stages of the customer adoption spectrum. This role will be critical for establishing new customer relationships by identifying, pitching, nurturing, and supporting negotiations of opportunities to contribute to customers' clinical development objectives in neurology, psychiatry, and sleep-related disorders using Beacon's products and services.

This is an independent contributor role in the commercial organization reporting directly to the Chief Business Officer. The position could evolve over time to incorporate potential responsibilities in alliance management, customer success, and key account management as Beacon continues to expand its portfolio of customer programs in clinical development.

Beacon supports a first-class remote work environment; however, candidates based in Boston, New York, or Philadelphia are strongly preferred for this specific position.

What success looks like:

  • Develop and nurture strategic relationships with biopharma companies, CROs, and key industry stakeholders, leveraging scientific expertise to build trust and credibility.
  • Drive business development efforts in an evolving market by articulating the scientific and clinical value of Beacon's technology, with particular focus on psychiatry, neurology, and sleep-related disorders.
  • Operate effectively in a rapidly-moving startup environment by identifying, executing, and ruthlessly prioritizing the most valuable activities to support growth.
  • Influence and work with cross-functional teams to support partnerships, including Neuroscience, Data Science, Data Engineering, Clinical Operations, Program Management, and the Leadership team.
  • Expand and deepen existing customer relationships by demonstrating thought leadership and providing scientifically-grounded insights that help advance customers' clinical development initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, white papers, and scientific content to high-level stakeholders, including PhD-level scientists and executives, by reading primary and secondary neuroscience literature.
  • Support, but not lead, complex negotiations that maximize value for both Beacon and its partners.
  • Analyze industry and business intelligence data to provide actionable insights that drive business growth and partnership success.
  • Maintain and record business development activities in a CRM, and support lead generation outreach efforts to build early funnel demand.

What you will bring:

  • Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience in consulting with the biopharmaceutical industry, with preference for R&D, clinical development, or CROs.
  • Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or Master's) in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in business development and sales, with preference for neuroscience, neurotech, clinical strategy, or clinical operations preferred.
  • Deep understanding of clinical trials, neurotechnology, and the biopharma landscape
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to identify opportunities, influence decision-making, and drive adoption of innovative solutions in a developing market.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret clinical and scientific data to inform business decisions.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to build PowerPoint presentations and translate scientific and technical content into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment with minimal supervision, adapting to shifting priorities and business needs.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and experience tracking key account performance metrics.
  • Willingness to travel for customer or internal meetings and industry events, typically once quarterly.
  • Empathy for all stakeholders, including pharma customers, healthcare professionals, co-workers, and most of all patients

The base salary range for this role is determined based on past experience, specific skills, and qualifications. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which includes an incentive compensation plan, equity, PTO, and other benefits.

At Beacon, we've found that cultural and scientific impact is driven most by those that lead by example. As such, we're always seeking new contributors whose work demonstrates an avid curiosity, a bias towards simplicity, an eye for composability, a self-service mindset, and-most of all-a deep empathy towards colleagues, stakeholders, users, and patients. We believe a diverse team builds more robust systems and achieves higher impact.
