Job description

Position Overview

Join Head Start Youth Counseling Center as a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health and substance use counseling for diverse populations. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact on the lives of youth, adults, and families seeking support in Atlanta, Georgia. Your expertise will help guide clients through their challenges, ensuring they receive the quality care they need.

About the Organization

Established in 1998, Head Start Youth Counseling Center has built a strong reputation in the healthcare sector for its commitment to enhancing the mental health and well-being of the communities it serves. Our center is dedicated to employing a broad spectrum of skilled medical professionals, providing an integrated approach to treatment that includes Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Physicians. We specialize in outpatient counseling for individuals and families navigating their mental health issues, creating healing environments tailored to each client's unique needs.

Work Environment

This role is designed to be completely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals committed to mental health treatment excellence. As part of our community health clinic framework, you will contribute to a culture that prioritizes compassion, personal growth, and continuous improvement. Our innovative approach includes a billing service that streamlines claims and accounts management, enabling you to focus more on client care rather than administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and developing tailored treatment plans for clients booked for outpatient services.
  • Providing individual and couple's therapy sessions across age spectrums, addressing various clinical needs.
  • Facilitating counseling sessions via telehealth or face-to-face if needed, adapting your approach according to the client's context.
  • Maintaining detailed and timely notes documenting all client interactions, treatment plans, and follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
  • Managing case files, scheduling appointments, and keeping an organized calendar to optimize your client interactions.
  • Working collaboratively with other team members and external resources to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with complex needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families accessing mental health support services for varying issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse. You'll engage with diverse populations, assessing their unique backgrounds, cultural contexts, and presenting challenges, allowing you to employ tailored therapeutic modalities and interventions to foster healing and growth.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s or Doctorate in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A valid state license to practice as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in clinical social work through previous robust clinical experience.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of four years of hands-on experience in clinical settings is required, candidates with demonstrated experience in outpatient settings, substance use counseling, or working with youth and families are strongly preferred. Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for record-keeping and documentation will be a distinct advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 95,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with bonus opportunities. Our benefits package includes:

  • Flexible full-time schedule with no weekend shifts, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
  • 11 paid holidays per year for much-needed time off.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuing education to enhance your skills and career trajectory.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Head Start Youth Counseling Center, we are committed to cultivating professional growth. Employees are encouraged to pursue further education and training that will elevate their careers. You’ll be coached and supported by experienced colleagues as you strive for clinical excellence and higher-level certifications.

Why Join Our Team

We are passionate about creating a positive workplace culture where your hard work and dedication will directly contribute to improving lives. As we continue to expand our services, you’ll find the opportunity to innovate, bring forth ideas, and enhance the therapeutic experience for our clients.
