• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, evaluating the impact of medical conditions on mental health to formulate effective treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate both psychological interventions and considerations for co-occurring medical disorders.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to foster patient growth and resilience in coping with life's challenges.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and social workers, to ensure seamless coordination of care for patients.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support, managing mental health emergencies with professionalism and empathy.
• Educate patients on the interrelationship between mental and physical health, empowering them with tools and knowledge to manage their overall well-being.
• Maintain accurate and secure documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards, to ensure quality care and facilitate continuity.
• Actively participate in team meetings and case reviews, contributing insights and updates about patient progress to enhance collaborative practices.
• Stay informed about best practices, research developments, and advancements in mental health via continuing education opportunities.

Our center primarily serves individuals dealing with a range of mental health issues, often compounded by chronic medical conditions, such as autoimmune disorders, substance abuse, and severe pain syndromes. The ideal candidate will genuinely care about improving the quality of life for these patients and will employ both empathy and clinical expertise to aid in their recovery journeys.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Valid licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or LMFT in New York State is essential.
• Demonstrated experience working with clients with concurrent medical issues is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to streamline documentation and patient care.
• Proven ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold patient confidentiality.

• Previous experience in telehealth settings is highly desirable to navigate remote patient engagement.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices tailored to treat complex mental health conditions is a plus.
• Experience in leading group therapy sessions and workshops will be an added advantage.
