Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team, providing therapeutic support to children and families in need at our Youth & Family Clinic in Austin, Texas. Your primary setting will be remote, enabling you to connect with clients in their homes. This flexibility allows for effective in-community therapy sessions, where your interventions will take place in safe, familiar environments. • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the client’s needs, either in-home or through our outpatient center, ensuring a supportive and caring atmosphere.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address behavioral challenges, helping clients develop skills in anger management, coping strategies, and social interaction.
• Work closely with caregivers to enhance decision-making abilities, equipping them to manage challenges associated with in-home behavioral dynamics.
• Collaborate effectively within the Child Family Treatment Team, contributing to clinical discussions that inform holistic care strategies.
• Maintain thorough documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, to support the ongoing evaluation of therapeutic effectiveness.
• Participate in monthly team meetings, sharing insights and contributing recommendations for innovative therapeutic approaches.

This role primarily serves children aged 3 to 20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will be working with a diverse population, which requires a nuanced understanding of their unique needs and family dynamics. Your bilingual capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese will strengthen communication and deepen the therapeutic process with clients and their families.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or closely related fields is required.
• An active, unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this role.
• You must be available to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours from 4-7 pm, with additional weekend hours being a plus.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary to reach clients effectively.
• Applicants must clear a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

• Experience providing positive behavior support to children and their families is highly desirable.
• Prior involvement in working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a strong asset.
• Experience in community-based settings or clinics is beneficial for understanding the dynamics of in-home therapy.
