Complete and Wellness Mind Care P.C. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in providing critical mental health services to children and their families. This full-time remote position offers flexibility and is designed for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.

This role is fully remote, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own space while still being part of a supportive team. Our work setting is collaborative, relying on cohesive interaction with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving mental health and behavioral outcomes for children. Regular communication and check-ins with fellow therapists, child family treatment teams, and other professionals is essential to ensuring that each therapy plan is effective and aligns with best practices.

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or lead group therapy sessions at the outpatient center to address mental health needs.
• Develop and implement therapeutic interventions that include anger management techniques, coping strategies, and the enhancement of social skills.
• Work collaboratively to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and physical aggression through structured therapeutic practices.
• Improve decision-making abilities for youth and their caretakers to foster a better understanding and management of in-home behavioral challenges.
• Regularly document therapy sessions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, submitting them within established timeframes.
• Participate in monthly meetings to discuss treatment progress and contribute recommendations for further interventions or adjustments.

This therapist will primarily work with children and teenagers aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Our diverse client population requires a multifaceted approach tailored to each child's unique circumstances. By providing culturally sensitive care, especially for our bilingual clients, we aim to address specific needs and build trusting therapeutic relationships with both the youth and their families.

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted LMFT license.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), with weekend availability considered a plus.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel, if needed.
• Successful completion of a background check, including fingerprinting.

• Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly children and teens with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Background in providing positive behavior support strategies in therapeutic settings.
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese to facilitate communication with bilingual families.
