This role provides the flexibility of remote work, enabling you to connect with clients in their homes and community settings throughout Maryland. • Conduct individual therapy sessions, using evidence-based interventions tailored to each child's unique needs.
• Engage in therapeutic practices focused on enhancing coping skills, social interactions, and anger management to minimize risky behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with caregivers that strategically improve decision-making abilities for both the child and their family.
• Work closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to provide a cohesive support system for clients, contributing to comprehensive care.
• Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in monthly team meetings and offer constructive recommendations based on your expertise and observations.

The primary focus of this role is on children and adolescents aged 3-20 who present with developmental disabilities and cognitive challenges. Your expertise will play a crucial role in addressing the emotional and behavioral needs of these individuals, supporting their journey toward achieving greater independence and improved life skills. Being bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese will significantly enhance your ability to connect with a diverse client base, ensuring that language barriers do not hinder therapeutic progress.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of Maryland.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with weekend flexibility preferred.
• Proficient understanding and experience in providing positive behavioral support.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check including fingerprinting.

• Prior work experience involving therapy with children and adolescents who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish or Portuguese, enhancing your capability to serve diverse communities.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to financial incentives, we provide:
