Job description

Position Overview:

The Patient Solutions Care Specialist is responsible for remote setup and monitoring of sleep and respiratory equipment. The position is also responsible for communicating with clinical VA staff via phone, email, cloud-based software or fax and monitoring compliance software and offering therapy recommendations to appropriate VA staff. This position is required to interact daily with teammates, staff at VA facilities and individual veterans.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in developing new service programs for the VA and working with our team to operationalize
  • Monitors cloud-based software for notifications of new patients, escalations directed to First Nation Group and compliance reporting back to VA
  • Communicates with VA clinical staff regarding services orders
  • Employs clinical knowledge in starting a veteran on therapy, able to identify any comorbid condition that could lead to therapy contraindications and communicating those concerns back to the ordering VA physician
  • Contacts veterans to complete remote setups of sleep and respiratory equipment and therapies
  • Inputs therapy notes into cloud-based software
  • Makes remote adjustments to therapy as prescribed by an ordering physician at VA
  • Follow all policies and procedures to meet accreditation guidelines
