Remote Role Player information

What is a Remote Role Player?

A Remote Role Player is a professional who participates in training exercises, simulations, or assessments—often for organizations such as law enforcement, the military, healthcare, or customer service—by acting out specific scenarios from a remote location, usually over video calls or specialized software. Their main job is to portray realistic situations that help trainees or employees practice communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Working remotely allows greater flexibility and access to a wider range of role players, enhancing the realism and variety of training simulations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote role player?

To thrive as a Remote Role Player, you need strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately follow role-play scenarios, often supported by experience in acting or training simulations. Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms, scenario scripting tools, and secure communication systems is typically required. Adaptability, professionalism, and emotional intelligence help individuals excel by creating realistic interactions and providing valuable feedback. These skills are essential for delivering high-quality, consistent simulations that support effective training or assessment programs.

How does a remote role player typically collaborate with training facilitators and other team members during simulation exercises?

As a Remote Role Player, you will regularly interact with training facilitators and other role players to create realistic and effective simulation environments, often via video conferencing platforms. Collaboration involves participating in pre-brief meetings to align on scenarios, receiving real-time feedback during exercises, and contributing to debrief sessions to improve future simulations. Maintaining clear communication and adapting quickly to changes in scenarios are key, as you may need to adjust your performance based on facilitator cues or evolving training objectives. This teamwork ensures that participants receive a consistent and impactful learning experience.

About Care Advantage

Care Advantage is a home care company specializing in one-on-one, quality personal care and companionship in the home, hospital, nursing home, or rehabilitation center. We build individualized care plans for clients transitioning from hospital to home or seeking companionship for a few hours a day. For nearly 40 years, our Care Team has given families and facilities peace of mind - providing affordable, compassionate care whenever and wherever it's needed.

Why You'll Love Working Here

Our I CARE values guide everything we do:

  • Integrity – Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.
  • Compassion – Treating people with patience and dignity.
  • Accountability – Owning our actions and outcomes.
  • Respect – Honoring everyone's story, including clients, families, and each other.
  • Excellence – Striving to be better every day.

What You'll Do

  • Perform collection duties for all assigned Private Duty accounts.
  • Expedite billing corrections to the appropriate team members.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims to confirm they are on file and being adjudicated.
  • Notify branch offices of any needed changes to patient accounts or plans.
  • Monitor aged private duty accounts receivable and take appropriate collection action, escalating issues to the Senior Director as needed.
  • Review collection reports with the Senior Director as requested.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
  • Make collections calls in line with company guidelines.
  • Follow up and collect on balances deemed patient or client responsibility.
  • Take on other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of collections experience preferred.

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • A positive, proactive team player.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with AlayaCare software is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position. Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required. You should be comfortable with the physical demands of a typical remote desk role - sitting, standing, and light movement - and able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds. Workplace accommodations may be available based on medical recommendations, where they do not create a hardship for the company.

Ready to Join Our Care Family?

If you're ready to bring your collections expertise to a mission-driven, remote-friendly team that truly lives its values, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help us continue delivering care that cares more.
