WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Performs the physical and / or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

• May perform a variety of coordinating, routing and material handling duties.

• Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.

• Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.

• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.

• Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.

• Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.

• Emphasis on shipping / receiving / stores.

• Works under general supervision on a wide range of assignments that require a substantial knowledge of the discipline or function.

• Follows established procedures, processes, or policies, but is expected to use judgment in resolving issues or recommending solutions.

• May participate in project teams or lead portions of projects.

• Has a thorough knowledge of the basic principles, practices, and processes in the applicable discipline and has a working knowledge of related fields.

• Provides resolutions from basic to moderately complex problems.

• Exercises judgment within procedures and practices in selecting methods and techniques for arriving at solutions.

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
