Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager, ITS East, will be responsible for driving strategic growth and market expansion across the Eastern United States.

This is not a transactional sales role.

The ideal candidate will serve as a regional market leader responsible for:

  • developing long-term customer relationships,
  • influencing transportation specifications,
  • supporting distributor growth,
  • driving engineering engagement,
  • expanding strategic ITS partnerships, and
  • positioning Seyond as a market leader in LiDAR-based intersection and roadway detection.

This role requires a strong understanding of public-sector transportation sales, ITS deployment cycles, specification development, and distributor/channel management.

The Regional Sales Manager will work closely with state DOTs, municipalities, counties, engineering consultants, system integrators, and distribution partners to accelerate the adoption of Seyond's SIMPL platform and LiDAR detection technologies.

Territory

The Regional Sales Manager, ITS East, will be responsible for driving growth and strategic market development across the entire Eastern United States territory, including:

  • Southeast
  • Mid-Atlantic
  • Northeast/New England regions

This is a remote, field-based position requiring residence within the territory and near a major airport to support efficient regional travel and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sales & Market Development

  • Drive regional revenue growth and market penetration for Seyond ITS solutions.
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans aligned with company revenue objectives.
  • Build strategic relationships with:
    • State DOTs

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities from early specification stages through project award and deployment.

Specification & Engineering Engagement

  • Influence project specifications and approved product lists through direct engagement with engineering firms and public agencies.
  • Conduct technical presentations, lunch-and-learns, demonstrations, and customer workshops.
  • Support pilot programs, field evaluations, and proof-of-concept deployments.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants and agencies to position Seyond technologies within future roadway modernization initiatives.

Distributor & Partner Development

  • Support and enable Seyond's distributor-first go-to-market strategy.
  • Conduct joint customer meetings and strategic account planning with regional distribution partners.
  • Assist partners with pipeline development, sales strategy, competitive positioning, and technical education.
  • Ensure alignment between Seyond, channel partners, and end users throughout the sales process.

Pipeline Management & Forecasting

  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM discipline using HubSpot.
  • Track project funding cycles, bid activity, infrastructure grants, and procurement timelines.
  • Provide executive visibility into:
    • regional sales activity,
    • specification progress,
    • pipeline health,
    • competitive threats,
    • and revenue forecasts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in ITS, transportation technology, traffic systems, smart infrastructure, or related industries.
