Medical Data Annotator (Bilingual)

Wisedocs AI

Toronto, ON โ€ข Remote

Full-time

Medical, Dental, PTO

Re-posted 22 hours ago

Job description

Wisedocs is a fast-growing, venture-backed AI platform that transforms how insurance companies analyze claims. With ~$20M USD raised, 100+ team members globally, and 90+ customers across North America and Australia, we’re doubling revenue year over year.

Founded by experts who’ve experienced the claims process firsthand, Wisedocs combines deep domain knowledge with next-gen AI trained on 100M+ documents. Our platform turns complex medical records into clear, structured insights—backed by expert human oversight.

Join a mission-driven team building intelligent products that cut through complexity, accelerate decision-making, and make a real impact when it matters most.

Role Summary
At Wisedocs, Medical Data Annotators pair clinical expertise with technology to transform how records are handled — helping insurers, legal teams, and healthcare organizations cut through complexity, save time, and make sharper decisions.

As a Medical Data Annotator, you'll review real records and produce the accurate, well-structured indexing and summaries our customers rely on to make high-stakes decisions. Just as importantly, the judgment you apply feeds directly into the models that make our platform smarter. Your work trains the product.

This role suits someone with a clinical or health sciences background who cares about getting the details exactly right, and who wants their expertise to shape a product rather than disappear into a queue. This is a great opportunity for recent grads or individuals early in their careers who are hungry to prove themselves and ready to grow fast in a high-impact environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Review live records, applying your clinical and technical experience
  • Extract the key information that drives an accurate, usable medical summary
  • Compile, sort, and verify data so every document stands on a clean foundation
  • Review and document with a strong quality focus — accuracy is the product
  • Compare prompted outputs against source records to catch technical and clinical errors before they reach a customer
  • Partner closely with the QA team to hold and raise the quality bar
  • Contribute directly to our software training and machine learning workflows, turning your clinical judgment into model improvements
  • Take on other projects as the team and product evolve
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

What Experience We Need

  • 1–2 years working directly on medical records
  • Fluent in French (equivalent to CEFR C1 level or native speaker)
  • This position is ideal for candidates with a health sciences background — psychology, physiotherapy, dental, or general medicine (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, B.Sc., Psychology)
  • High typing proficiency and comfort working in Office 365
  • Exceptional grammar, writing, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • A high bar for accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to exercise flexibility and judgment
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Comfort working in an AI-assisted, tech-forward environment
  • Preferred: prior experience summarizing records for insurance, legal, or claims contexts and familiarity with QA or clinical-review workflows

What We Offer

  • Flexible remote environment with the option to collaborate in-person at our Toronto HQ.
  • Modern employee benefits, including health and dental coverage
  • Competitive compensation, with valuable stock options, as we’re still a young company growing very quickly.
  • An opportunity to develop very rapidly in your career. We can offer you a super-immersive learning environment, and when you thrive there, you will have the opportunity to rapidly develop this opportunity into senior practitioner or management opportunities as you choose.
  • Access to a learning and professional development fund to help you level up your career while you’re working with us. We hope to be an incredible step up in your career if you decide to come and work with us.
  • Company events
  • Generous Paid Time Off
  • Paid Sick Days
  • Casual Dress code
  • Employee Referral Bonus
  • Tuition Assistance
  • Plus, many other Recognition Programs!
