Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preliminary mental health assessments and document comprehensive case histories from initial consultations through treatment completion, using electronic health record systems like AVATAR.
  • Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health through interviews and standardized evaluation tools, ensuring an accurate understanding of their needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, adjusting approaches based on progress and feedback.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to empower clients to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment.
  • Regularly monitor client progress against treatment goals, making data-driven adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive intervention strategies and ensure continuity of care.
  • Follow up with clients’ psychiatrists and attending physicians to discuss treatment plans, adjustments, and hospitalizations when necessary.
  • Identify potential barriers to recovery and proactively implement strategies aimed at mitigating these challenges, fostering resilience and hope among clients.
  • Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones, offering guidance and resources.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work closely with a diverse population, providing tailored support for individuals and families navigating these issues. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
  • A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Strong foundational knowledge in psychotherapy techniques and a commitment to staying updated on best practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience as a licensed mental health counselor, ideally in a similar community health setting that values remote care.
