What is a Remote RN Auditor?
What does a Remote RN Auditor do?
As a remote RN auditor, your job is to review claims and audit financial statements to ensure validity and accuracy. In this role, you may examine documentation from the patient or clinic, evaluate the effectiveness of care, or ensure that claims comply with government regulations. RN auditors often provide advice for cutting costs and contact both healthcare providers and clients to negotiate specific claims or resolve billing issues. Remote RN auditors often work with daily or weekly batches of work as assigned, but in rare cases, you may be asked to prioritize auditing certain material when time is of the essence.
What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote RN Auditor?
What are some common challenges faced by Remote RN Auditors, and how can they be effectively managed?
What is the difference between Remote Rn Auditor vs Remote Rn Reviewer?
| Aspect | Remote Rn Auditor | Remote Rn Reviewer |
|---|---|---|
| Certifications | RN license, auditing certifications (e.g., CHAP, RAC) | RN license, clinical review certifications |
| Work Environment | Healthcare organizations, insurance companies, auditing firms | Healthcare providers, insurance companies, utilization review |
| Primary Responsibilities | Auditing medical records for compliance, coding accuracy, and billing | Reviewing medical records for appropriateness and medical necessity |
Remote Rn Auditors focus on compliance and coding accuracy through audits, while Remote Rn Reviewers primarily assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care. Both roles require RN licensure and related certifications, often working within healthcare or insurance settings. The key difference lies in their core functions: auditing versus clinical review, though both contribute to quality and compliance in healthcare reimbursement.

Job description
Work From Home Family Medicine Physician - Indiana (IMLC) | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | $180,000-$220,000
About the Opportunity
Indiana physicians in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, or Bloomington can practice nationwide medicine without leaving the state. Shift hours are 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Eastern.
My client is a leading virtual healthcare organization transforming the delivery of primary and urgent care through an innovative employer-sponsored telehealth model. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join their established clinical team. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice medicine in a fully remote, collaborative environment where physicians are supported by experienced clinical colleagues, dedicated nursing staff, and streamlined technology that allows them to focus on patient care, not administrative burden. The physician will provide comprehensive virtual primary and urgent care to patients nationwide through secure video visits and messaging while delivering a high-quality, relationship-centered care experience.
Why Physicians Love This Opportunity
- 100% remote position
- Monday-Friday schedule | No weekends or overnight call
- Four weeks (20 days) of paid time off
- Collaborative, physician-led culture with excellent work-life balance
- Dedicated onsite nursing support for care coordination
- Modern technology with optional AI-assisted documentation
- Comprehensive medical and dental insurance
- Malpractice insurance provided
- 401(k)
- Reimbursement for additional state medical licenses
Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, high-quality, patient-centered primary and urgent care rooted in respect for patients and a passion for helping others.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic primary care and urgent care conditions, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and coordinating follow-up care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team consisting of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Partner with the clinical team to develop and enhance technology that improves patient care and the provider experience.
- Support clinical education and marketing initiatives as needed.
Qualifications (Required)
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) state.
- Minimum of one year of outpatient clinical practice as a Family Medicine or Primary Care Physician.
- Available to work Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM PT (12:00 PM-8:00 PM CT / 1:00 PM-9:00 PM ET).
- Comfortable utilizing telehealth technology and electronic medical records.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and patient engagement skills.
- A compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Current participation in the IMLC or active medical licenses in multiple states.
- Spanish bilingual.
- Previous telemedicine experience.
Licensure: One IMLC State Is Enough
You only need to be licensed in one participating State of Principal License (SPL) under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. As long as you hold a full, unrestricted medical license in an eligible SPL and meet the IMLC requirements, you can use the compact's expedited process to obtain licensure in additional participating states, and additional state licenses are reimbursed. Participating states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
