About the Role
Our client, Enact Mortgage Insurance is looking for experienced Senior Underwriters. In this fully remote contract role, you will be part of a high-performing Underwriting Team responsible for evaluating and underwriting mortgage loan files in accordance with established guidelines.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, production-driven environment and is confident making sound, risk-based underwriting decisions.
Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to make sound underwriting decisions adhering to Enact published guidelines/ Investor Guidelines and Portfolio products demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness before rendering a decision.
  • Manage and resolve conflicts in a positive and constructive manner to minimize negative impact and distraction.
  • Deliver loan decisions in a professional, customer-centric manner.
  • Ability to understand, define and proactively use data and resources to make informed risk-based and compliance decisions.
  • Ability to balance time and manage multiple priorities.
  • Meet or Exceed Productivity Goals
  • Maintain accuracy standards within threshold
Essential Job Requirements:

  • Recent frontline mortgage loan underwriting experience within the last 6 months
  • Must pass Underwriter Skills assessment
  • Customer Service Leader with minimum of 5 years of superior underwriting background and stellar customer fulfillment orientation
  • Excellent knowledge of FHLMC/FNMA/Enact Mortgage Insurance Underwriting Guidelines
  • Utilization of income calculator resources published by both FHLMC/FNMA
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of Drive/Fraud reports
  • Ability to interpret AI feedback and utilization of recommendations and findings
  • Understanding of CU Scores and experience in full collateral review.
  • Must possess strong verbal / written communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.

Pay: $43 - $50 hourly

Physical Requirements:
