Position Summary:
Responsible for the daily operations of the assigned Picture Archiving and Communication systems (PACS). The PACS Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and security of imaging systems, supporting a diverse range of clinical departments including Radiology, Cardiology, the Cancer Center, and Maternal Fetal Medicine. Ensures systems are maintained in accordance with Bozeman Health standards. Acts as a liaison with the departments and customers when considering changes, integrations with or implementation of supported systems and modalities. Maintains positive vendor relationships. Responsible for department imaging related software and ancillary software and applications pertaining to imaging.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- PACS certification, or completed within two years of hire.
- Two (2) years of desktop experience or work experience in an IT-related field
- Two (2) years of work experience in IT or as a Radiology Technologist
- Experience with software performance modification
Preferred

Essential Job Functions:
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
- Ensure daily operations and maintenance of PACS for optimal uptime and reliability. Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
- Manage PACS integration with other hospital systems, including EHR and HIS.
- Utilize advanced monitoring tools and predictive analytics to preemptively address system issues.
- Develop and enforce security protocols to protect imaging data and comply with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with clinical departments to tailor PACS functionalities to their needs, enhancing user satisfaction.
