JOB PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Sr. Portfolio Administrator is to ensure objectives related to internal portfolio management are met, in addition to supporting the workflow of the Commercial Team of GPMs, PMs, RMs and commercial lending associates. This position will provide approval within established guidelines for daily credit/portfolio administrative activity.

What you'll be doing

As a Senior Portfolio Administrator within CIBC's Commercial Banking team, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting portfolio management and risk oversight activities. You'll work closely with internal partners and stakeholders to maintain accurate client portfolio data, assist with financial reporting and covenant record keeping, and prepare insightful trend reports that inform business decisions. Your expertise in risk management will be instrumental in producing portfolio analyses, supporting credit reviews and regulatory exams, and contributing to market update reports. Leveraging your advanced analytical skills, you'll help drive improvements in reporting efficiency and ensure the accuracy and integrity of portfolio data. Additionally, you'll mentor team members and foster a culture of compliance and accountability aligned with CIBC's risk culture and values.

How you'll succeed

Portfolio Management & Client Data Maintenance - Collaborate with Relationship Support to update and correct client data, maintain records of financial reporting and covenants, and assist in preparing quarterly reviews and CAMP reports.
Risk Management & Portfolio Monitoring - Produce monthly and quarterly borrower trend cards and portfolio trend reports, supply data and analysis for credit reviews and regulatory exams and contribute to market and portfolio update reports.
Financial Analysis & Modeling - Prepare collateral value adjustment analyses, leverage advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills to support analytical tasks, and develop recommendations for review by senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Maintain strong partnerships with Credit Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Loan Services, Client Specialists, and Compliance to ensure seamless portfolio administration.
Team Training & Mentorship - Mentor and provide situational training support to Associates, Senior Associates, and Portfolio Managers, fostering continuous learning and development.
Risk & Compliance - Uphold CIBC's risk culture by following all relevant policies, frameworks, and guidelines, completing mandatory training, and proactively escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
