What is a remote rheumatology nurse practitioner?

A Remote Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse who specializes in diagnosing and managing rheumatic diseases such as arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune disorders, while working from a remote or telehealth setting. They provide care through virtual consultations, monitor patients’ progress, adjust medications, and educate patients on disease management. This role allows patients to receive expert rheumatologic care without needing to visit a healthcare facility in person.

Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills help build trust and manage patient care virtually.
