Blackrock Strategy, Inc. is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to support the integration, troubleshooting, testing, and operational evaluation of defense systems across mission-focused environments.

You will work directly with engineers, operators, program leadership, and government stakeholders to identify integration issues, improve system performance, and support technologies as they transition from development to operational environments.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving difficult technical problems, working across multidisciplinary teams, and understanding how systems actually behave outside of controlled lab environments.


LOCATION REQUIREMENT

This position is based in Huntsville, Alabama.

Applicants must:

  • Reside within commuting distance of Huntsville, AL OR
  • Be willing to relocate prior to the start date

Occasional remote support may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities across defense programs
  • Evaluate system performance against operational and technical requirements
  • Analyze system behavior and identify integration gaps, risks, dependencies, or performance issues
  • Participate in operational test events, system assessments, and field evaluations
  • Coordinate across engineering teams, operators, program leadership, and government stakeholders
  • Contribute to technical documentation, reports, test plans, and system assessments
  • Support integration of emerging technologies into operational environments
  • Maintain awareness of system interfaces, dependencies, architectures, and operational constraints
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of hardware/software integration challenges
  • Help identify risks and integration concerns early to support informed technical decision-making

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering or related technical field (ABET preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience supporting systems integration, integration & test, operational test, troubleshooting, or system validation activities
  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, military, or government programs
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams
  • Ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience supporting operational test, fielding, or integration activities
  • Experience with ISR systems, RF systems, sensors, autonomy platforms, tactical communications, or mission systems
  • Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments
  • Experience supporting government customer environments, operational units, or test ranges
  • Experience with root-cause analysis and system-level troubleshooting
  • Technical writing, briefing, or reporting experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT
