Position ideally resides in Scottsdale, AZ HQ but will consider hybrid and/or remote for the appropriate candidate.

The Senior RCM Data Analyst is a highly trusted analytics and peopleleading role responsible for delivering actionable, accurate, and timely insights across the full radiology revenue cycle. This position combines handson advanced analytics with managerial responsibility for developing and overseeing RCM analysts.

This role partners closely with RCM leadership, operations, IT, and finance to improve cash flow, reduce denials, optimize workflows, and support strategic decisionmaking. The ideal candidate brings deep radiology revenue cycle knowledge, exceptional analytical rigor, and a strong work ethic with a bias toward accountability and continuous improvement.  This role is critical to improving financial performance, enabling leadership decisions, and building scalable RCM analytics function that supports long-term growth and operational excellence. 

Essential Functions
  • Lead endtoend analysis of the radiology revenue cycle, including scheduling, authorization, charge capture, coding, billing, reimbursement, AR, and denials.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and KPI frameworks to monitor performance at enterprise, payer, modality, location, and workflow levels.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to cash acceleration, denial reduction, underpayments, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for executive and operational leaders.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems and reporting outputs.
  • Partner with RCM operations leaders to diagnose issues in frontend, coding, billing, and followup workflows and support corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with finance on revenue forecasting, performance tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Support payer strategy and contract performance analysis through datadriven insights.
  • Provide analytics support for strategic initiatives, audits, and performance improvement programs.
  • Leverage EHR, practice management, RCM platforms, and analytics tools to automate reporting and improve data accessibility.
  • Work with IT and vendors on data mapping, system enhancements, and integration of radiologyspecific workflows (modalities, CPTs, payer rules).
  • Continuously improve data processes to reduce manual work and increase speed and reliability.
  • Serve as a people manager and mentor for RCM analytics staff, setting clear expectations, reviewing work quality, and developing analytical capability across the team.
  • Establish standards for analytical rigor, documentation, and repeatable reporting processes.
  •  Foster a highperformance, highaccountability culture with strong attention to detail and followthrough.
  • Prioritize and allocate analytical resources based on business impact and organizational needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of revenue cycle functions including patient access, coding, billing, collections, denials, and reimbursement models.
  • Proven ability to align revenue cycle strategy with organizational goals, interpret financial data, drive performance metrics, and support long-term financial sustainability.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, executive-level communication, and negotiation skills with ability to proactively identify and quantify performance issues, pull and shape data to drive business insights, and structure and drive cross-functional remediation efforts.
  • Relentless work ethic and takes ownership, meets deadlines, and holds self and others accountable.  Ability to thrive and adapt in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Goes beyond surface metrics to root cause analysis and actionable insight. 
  • Deep understanding of healthcare regulations and payer requirements (e.g., HIPAA, CMS) to ensure organizational compliance and reduce risk exposure.
  • Experienced in EHR/RCM systems and data analytics tools, with the ability to leverage technology to optimize workflows and revenue capture.
  • Deep understanding of payer contracts, reimbursement models, billing, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Experience supporting multisite, multistate radiology or healthcare organizations.
  • Familiarity with radiologyspecific coding, payer behavior, and authorization dynamics.
  • Experience building scalable KPI frameworks and executivelevel dashboards.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business, Finance or related field required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in revenue cycle analytics, with strong radiology or healthcare services exposure.
  • Demonstrated expertise across the full radiology revenue cycle (frontend through AR and denials).
  •  Advanced analytical skills, including strong SQL and/or advanced Excel; experience with BI tools highly preferred.
  • Prior experience leading, mentoring, or managing analysts.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and followthrough.
