Job description

A design-build manufacturer specializing in precast, post-tensioned concrete tank systems used in water, wastewater, RNG, and industrial infrastructure projects is looking to hire a Structural Engineer to their team in southeastern Pennsylvania.

This role is responsible for structural analysis and design of precast, post-tensioned concrete tank systems, along with oversight of drafting and coordination with internal teams to ensure projects are executed accurately, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

-Perform structural analysis and design of precast, post-tensioned concrete tanks (ACI, PCI, and applicable codes)

-Oversee and review erection drawings and production drawings

-Coordinate closely with Project Management, Production, and Field teams to ensure constructability and schedule alignment

-Assign and review work for Design Engineers and drafters

-Ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency of engineering deliverables

-Support continuous improvement of design standards and workflows

-Assist with outsourced engineering coordination when required

-Travel to job sites as needed for inspection and troubleshooting

-Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation for internal and client use

Requirements:

-B.S. in Civil Engineering, required (Structural focus preferred)

-5+ years of engineering experience performing analysis and design in the Precast/Prestress concrete industry.

-Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) — or ability to obtain multi-state licensure

-Ability to interpret and work from contract drawings and specifications

-Strong understanding of design-to-production workflows

-Experience leading or mentoring engineers/drafters, a plus
