Are you an experienced attorney who enjoys the strategy and precision of the discovery process? Our growing Arizona family law practice is seeking a Discovery Attorney to support our litigation team by managing all aspects of discovery in complex family law matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who prefers to focus on case development, written advocacy, and litigation support while working remotely.
What You'll Do
Draft, review, and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
Analyze financial records, business documents, bank statements, tax returns, and other evidence relevant to family law cases.
Prepare discovery-related motions, motions to compel, protective orders, and meet-and-confer correspondence.
Develop discovery strategies for matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, property division, and high-net-worth marital estates.
Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, clients, opposing counsel, and third-party experts to obtain and organize discovery.
Review document productions and identify missing or deficient responses.
Conduct legal research and draft memoranda related to discovery disputes and procedural issues.
Ensure compliance with Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure and court-ordered deadlines.
Assist trial attorneys in preparing cases for mediation, settlement conferences, and trial.
Qualifications
Active license to practice law in Arizona (required).
2+ years of experience handling discovery in family law or civil litigation.
Strong experience drafting and responding to written discovery.
Experience reviewing financial documentation, including tax returns, business records, banking records, and asset documentation.
Excellent legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
