Civil Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Civil Engineers to contribute to a high-impact project focused on advancing AI evaluation. You will apply your engineering expertise to create realistic technical scenarios, develop accurate solutions, and evaluate AI-generated engineering outputs.

No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create realistic civil engineering evaluation tasks covering structural design, transportation, water systems, and site development.
  • Develop and curate technical materials such as engineering drawings, geotechnical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and code references.
  • Create complex problems requiring constraint reasoning and code compliance.
  • Determine accurate engineering solutions while considering applicable technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop detailed evaluation rubrics assessing technical accuracy and code adherence.
  • Create and validate realistic CSVs, PDFs, spreadsheets, and engineering datasets.
  • Collaborate with project teams to improve task quality, clarity, and realism.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional civil engineering experience across relevant project types.
  • PE license or active pursuit of licensure strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience preparing technical documentation, design specifications, and compliance materials.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory codes and incorporate requirements into engineering solutions.
  • Experience reviewing engineering drawings, reports, datasets, and other technical artifacts.
  • Strong ability to reason through complex engineering constraints.
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
Compensation & Availability

Compensation is output-based, with payment per approved task. Minimum weekly submission requirements apply.

Selected experts should be ready to begin their first tasks within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding. Roles are typically filled within 48 hours.
