The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Health Systems & Payer Strategy is aseniorlevel,externalfacingMedical Affairs role responsible for engagingexecutivelevelstakeholders within health systems and payer organizations. This position serves as a strategic scientific partner toCsuiteleaders, medical directors, pharmacy leadership, and payerdecisionmakers, providinghighvalueclinical, health economics, andoutcomesbasedmedical insights to supportpopulationlevelcare, formulary decisions, andsystemwidestrategies.

The role emphasizesenterpriselevelscientific engagement, population health perspectives, andvaluebasedhealthcare discussions. It requires a medical professional capable of operating with autonomy, credibility, and influence across complex healthsystemand payer environments.

What you will do:

Executive & Payer Scientific Engagement

Establishand maintain trusted,longtermscientific partnerships withCsuiteexecutives, chief medical officers, chief pharmacy officers, medical directors, and senior payer leadership

Serve as the primary Medical Affairs scientific point of contact for assigned health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and payer organizations

Leadexecutivelevel,nonpromotionalscientific discussions focused on population health, clinical strategy, quality metrics, andvaluebasedcare models

Scientific & Strategic Medical Support

Deliverobjective,evidencebasedscientific exchange across relevant disease states and therapeutic areas aligned with health system and payer priorities

Translate clinical evidence,realworldevidence (RWE), and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) into insights meaningful for formulary, policy, andsystemleveldecisionmaking

Support payer and health system understanding of evolving clinical guidelines, care pathways, and emerging science

CrossFunctionalCollaboration

Collaborate closely with internal Medical Affairs, HEOR, Market Access, Policy, and Commercial partners whilemaintainingmedical independence and compliance

Sharefieldbasedinsights to inform medical and commercial strategy, evidence generation, and executive engagement planning

Contribute scientific and strategicexpertiseto internal initiatives aligned with payer and health system needs

Insights & Thought Leadership

Act as a recognized scientific expert and trusted medical advisor within assigned accounts

Compliance & Governance

Required Qualifications:

Education

Advanced degreerequired: MD, DO, PharmD or equivalent terminal degree in a scientific or clinical discipline

Experience

3+ years of experience in Pharma withdemonstratedsuccess in external scientific engagement

Prior experience engaging payers, health systems, ordecisionmakers

Proven ability to lead complex scientific discussions and manage strategic relationships

Skills & Competencies

Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Deep understanding of US payer dynamics, health system structures, population health, andvaluebasedcare

Strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments

High ethical standards and commitment to scientific integrity and compliance

Travel

Up to 50% travel, including regional and national meetings with health systems, payers, and internal stakeholders

The base pay for this position is

$129,300.00 - $258,700.00
