Contract Litigation Attorney (OR Bar Required)
Portland, OR (Remote Flexibility Available)
About the Role
LHH has partnered with a great firm who is seeking a Contract Attorney with at least 5+ years of litigation experience to support a growing practice handling insurance-related matters for established clients. This is a long-term contract role with the potential to convert to a full-time position for the right fit.
This opportunity offers significant flexibility, including fully remote work, with optional access to a Portland office. Candidates will attend an initial onsite day to receive equipment and onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Perform case intake, file review, and document review
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Support discovery and case management
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and legal teams
• Take on increasingly substantive work based on performance and experience
Qualifications
• Active Oregon Bar license required
• Minimum 5+ years of litigation experience
• Insurance defense experience is a plus but not required
• Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a remote or hybrid environment
Work Environment & Schedule
• Remote-friendly (fully remote or hybrid optional)
• Portland office available for those who prefer onsite work
• Initial onsite visit required for onboarding and equipment pickup
• Flexible scheduling; full-time (40 hours/week) preferred, part-time considered
